KASURI - 絣

A Woven Sanctuary in the Heart of Nishijin

Step into the quiet elegance of the Kasuri Room, a spacious retreat inspired by the refined textile traditions of Kyoto’s Nishijin district. Named after the Kasuri (絣) weaving technique—where dyed threads create soft, blurred patterns—this room captures the same sense of subtle beauty, balance, and calm.

As the largest room in the house, the Kasuri Room offers a serene and immersive experience with:

  • Tatami Tea Room
  • A peaceful space for quiet reflection, meditation, or enjoying a cup of tea.
  • Cozy Bedroom
  • Featuring two full beds, designed for restful sleep in a warm, inviting atmosphere.
  • Private Garden
  • A tranquil outdoor space that invites stillness and connection with nature.
  • Hinoki Wood Bathtub
  • A luxurious soaking tub made from aromatic Japanese cypress, with calming views of the garden.
  • Heated Floors
  • Warm tatami and bath flooring provide comfort during Kyoto’s cooler seasons.
  • In-Room Laundry
  • A private washer and dryer for added convenience during your stay.

Every detail in the Kasuri Room is designed to slow time and soothe the senses—where the rhythm of woven threads meets the hush of nature.
